Approvals
Eva can set things up for you, but it never spends money or contacts people on its own. For those actions it shows an approval card, and nothing happens until someone with edit access confirms.
What needs approval
| Action | Example button |
|---|---|
| Launch a study | Launch · 10 interviews · $390 |
| Invite or email people to a running study | Add 2 people / Email 12 people |
| Start a Swarm run | Start the run, or Start the run · $2 past your included runs |
| Confirm a Swarm finding with five people | Ask 5 people · $195 |
Drafting a study, editing a guide, estimating a cost or setting up a draft Swarm run doesn't need approval: none of them spend money or reach anyone.
The approval card
The card is headed Eva needs your go-ahead. It shows what will happen, the details (for example the audience and how many people) and the Total.
- Click the confirm button to go ahead.
- Click Not now to decline. Nothing happens.
If the draft changed after Eva made the card, the card is replaced by a fresh one with the new details. If something fails, you'll see "That didn't go through. Nothing was charged."
Good to know
- Approval cards expire after 30 minutes. Ask Eva again if one has expired.
- Observers see "Someone with edit access can approve this." They can't approve.
- Charges work the same as launching yourself: your saved card is charged, or a checkout opens. See Launch & cost.
